4 New Qualified Coaches
Guernsey Badminton Association President, John Stuart, as well as his wife Angela, who is also the GBA Treasury & Administration Officer, together with brother and sister Keith Enevoldsen and Karen Mason have all qualified as Badminton England Level 2 Coaches this weekend. All four are members of St Andrews Badminton Club as well as helping with Feathers Junior Badminton Club and Guernsey Junior Squad training.
All 4 completed the Badminton England Level 1 Assistant Coach Award in June 2005, and have been working towards the final practical coaching assessment and written exam, held at the Rohais Halls on 17.12.05.
This is great news for the future development programme of badminton in Guernsey.
The Guernsey Badminton Assocation is very grateful to John Edwards, Badminton England South-West Regional Development Manager, for his invaluable experience and knowledge, and for giving up his time to travel to Guernsey to train and assess our coaches.
The 4 coaches would very much like to specifically thank the following players for being willing guinea-pigs both on the 17 December assessment day and over the past 6-8 weeks:-
- Ben Enevoldsen
- Tom Dawson
- Maxine Cumming
- Erin McCann
- Ellie Mason
- Sara Martin
